Getting Started

Golfergroups.com make group task easily to management, calculate and record in seconds.

Registration

After you have successfully registered a golfer account, you can follow the instructions to complete the setup procedures and personalize your settings, to become the worlds most advanced golf player or team, and add more joy to your future games.

You can register and use the golf website for free, Users can be registered as a golfer or a team and you can create a link between the 2 types of user, Please select your desired type and please note that the registered password must be at least 8 characters, including: "English Uppercase"+ "at least a Number"+ "at least a Special Character !@#$%^&*.."

Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email, please click on the confirmation link to complete the registration process.

Personal site

Your personal or team site is http://golfergroups.com/your registered name

For example: your registered name demo , Your personal or team site is http://golfergroups.com/demo ( please note your registration name is case sensitive )

Languages

You can select your preferred language from the drop-down menu located on the top right corner of the home page or the top right corner of your personal golf page, currently available in 6 languages namely: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, German, French.

Login

You can login from the login page or click on the Login link on the top left corner of the home page, You can use your registered Login Name or Email Address to sign in.

Password

If you forget the login password, click on Forgot next to the password field, then enter your registered email address, the system will automatically send an email to your mailbox to reset the password, simply click the link within the message, If not clickable please copy the link into your browser, you can now set your new password.

Frontend and Backend

Upon successful login, you will sign in directly to your websites Backend. To switch frontend and backend just click on the button located on the top left corner of your personal page.

Frontend: The page that will display your Golf statistics to the public.

Backend: Users personal page to edit modify delete golf statistics belonging to private.

A. Settings

  • a. Email settings: Change e-mail address to send e-mail notifications.

    note: To upload personal photos, A. hover to the left of this page and under the photo box, ”Change Picture (size 280x370 px)” will appear, left click the mouse button. B. Upload select option will appear, C. click on Browse to select the photo you want to upload from your computer. ( recommended picture size 280x370 px ), after selecting photo, D. press Save to upload.

After you upload a photo or update any content, the content will be displayed in the Frontends Profile page.

B. Financial report

  • a. Create Financial report

    note:

    • A. When creating a new financial report, please input a new fiscal year. If the fiscal year already exists, Please use the editing features.
    • B. Please input pre start up cash for this fiscal year.
    • C. Please select a date for cash receipts.
    • D. Please input a title for this cash receipts. Same title amount will display on same row but different month.
    • E. Please input amount for this cash receipt.
    • F. Clicking "-" tab to remove this item
    • G. Clicking "+" tab to add a new item.
    • H. Write essential operating data for this fiscal year.
    • I. When done click submit.

      When editing a financial report, please click Edit Records tab.

    • A. Select a fiscal year.
    • B. Edit financial content. Editing steps same as creating a financial report.

    note:

      When removing a financial report, please click Edit Records tab.

    • A. Then select a fiscal year you want to remove from year list.
    • B. Click Remove tab.
    • C. A pop-up windows shows "Are You Sure Want To Delete this record?" , Click "OK" to remove this financial report. Click "X" keep unchange.

C. Clubhouse

a. Find Frinends

Here you can search for friends you know, to add friend, please press the + on the right side of the box to link a friend. the system will automatically send Add Friend invitation to the member, and the member will appear on your Pending Request page until he or she accepts the request. When the member accepts your request, the member will automatically be added into your My Friends list. To cancel the invitation, in the Pending Request page, click on the - button on the right of the member box.

b. Invite Friends

If your golf mates are not members of GolferGroups, you can send a friend invitation link through the website.

c. My Members

Here you can add group or team members from My Friends list, just simply click friend name in My Friends block, then click Add button. The added friends who will showing on the right Member List block, When done click Save. Group and Team members will showing on you Frontend Clubhouse page.

d. Pending Request

Please have a look over previous Find Frinends section.

D. Message

When a number appears next to the message label, it means a friend has sent you a message. 1 indicates 1 unread message, 2 means there are 2 unread messages, and so on.

When other members sent you a friend invitation, you can click on the particular member in the Messages page, then select Accept or Reject the invitation.

There are two ways to message your friends on this page.

E. Chat

You can instantly chat with friends online.

note: A. Unread chats from friends. B. Green indicates online friends, Number indicates unread chatC. Click friend to chat D. Write your message, then press Enter .

F. Dashboard

Statistics and analysis of: Last Round Summary, Last 5 Rounds, Help, Recorded Score, Handicap Index, My Friends, Shots to Green, Fairway Accuracy.

a. Create or Edit course basic information and scorecard

Step 1

note: A. When updated course basic information, Click "Next" to update scorecard.

Step 2

note:

  • A. Select a par value for 1-18 hole.
  • B. Select a HDCP for 1-18 hole.
  • C. Set blue tee box value: Set course rating value between 60 to 85, Set course slope value between 55 to 155, Please keep unchange if you do not know the accurate value.
  • D. Input yard distance for 1-18 hole.
  • E. Same way set values for White tee and Red tee.
  • F. Click previous tab back to basic information setting.
  • G. When done click Save.

b. Edit a Course: Please select the course you want to edit, when done the page will automatically refresh with the course data, you can make changes to any incorrect value, when done click Save to complete the updates. Your name will also appear in the lower left corner of the course page, thank you for your contributions and updates.

H. Group Scores

You can easily manage team scores and rank team players by using this feature

a. Creare Team Year and Add Team Players

Step 1 : Given a specific team year.
Step 2 : Click add team player tab to add team players for the year.
Step 3 : Select players from player list, then click Add Player tab to add players to join team for this year.
Step 4 : Given beginning handicap value for each player.
Step 5 : When done click save team.

b. Edit Team Players

Step 1 : Select a team year to edit.
Step 2 : Click add team player tab to add team players for the year.
Step 3 : Select players from player list, then click Add Player tab to add players to join team for this year.
Step 4 : Click remove tab to remove the player from team score for the year.
Step 5 : To modify player beginning handicap value.
Step 6 : When done click save team.

c. Add new Round

Step 1 : Select a Team Year to add players into system.
Step 2 : Select a course for the round.
Step 3 : Select Tee Color, Type of Round, Round Date, write memo, select which round in the team year.
Step 4 : When done click Save Round.

note : New group round score result will showing on the buttom of the page, and also display on Frontend Group Scores page

d. Round List

Round list record all of the group rounds.

I. Competition

Here you can hold games like a professional competition, the system will automatically calculate the results and provide a ranking list, a competition can automatically calculate 1 to 4 games, steps to add edit delete the competition are as follows:

a. Hold a competition

A competition includes 4 rounds or less, System automatically calculate and rank every round. It is very easy to hold a competition.

note : Please make sure the first player you add MUST played the rounds that you hold the competition.

Step 1 : Please confirm that players participating in the competition MUST be a friend in your "backend/clubhouse/" my friend list. How to add friends, please have a look over Clubhouse section.
Step 2 : From my friend list on the left, select players to join the competition, and then click the add tab to add to the competition. To remove a player, select the player from the list on the right, and then click on the remove tab.
Step 3 : Please input a competition name on your demand, For exemple: 2016 Team Washington overseas competition in Osaka , And then select a competition date.
Step 4 : Select rounds from round 1 to round 4 from your round list, At least 1 round, and no more than 4 rounds. 1 to 4 round selection depends on your competition demand.
Step 5 : When done click Save.

You can browse competition result in your frontend menu "Competition" , select a competition name to show all the players ranking.

b. Edit a competition

Step 1 : In backend click Edit competition on menu Competition .
Step 2 : Select a competition name to edit.
Step 3 : Add or remove players.
Step 4 : Update competition name or date.
Step 5 : Update rounds.
Step 6 : When done click Update.

c. Remove a competition

Step 1 : Select a round to remove .
Step 2 : Click "Delete this competition" tab.
Step 3 : A pop-up window shows "Are you sure? This competition will be permanently deleted". Click "Delete competition" to confirm delete. / Click "Cancel" keep unchange.

J. Tools

a. New New Peoria

  • i. Create a New New Peoria game.
  • note : Please make sure the first player you add MUST played the round that you want to hold the New New Pioria Game.

    Step 1 : Please confirm that players participating in the NNP MUST be a friend in your "Backend/Clubhouse/" my friend list. How to add friends, please have a look over Clubhouse section.
    Step 2 : From my friend list on the left, select players to join the NNP, and then click the add tab to add to the NNP. To remove a player, select the player from the list on the right, and then click on the remove tab.
    Step 3 : Please input New New Peoria name on your own. For exemple: 2016 NNP at Pebble Beach
    Step 4 : Select 6 excluded holes.
    Step 5 : Select a round from round list.
    Step 6 : When done click Save.

    You can browse New New Peoria game result in your frontend menu "Frontend/Tools/NNP", select a NNP name to show all the players ranking.

  • ii. Edit a New New Peoiia game.
  • Step 1 : Click Edit NNP on menu Tools in backend "Backend/Tools/NNP/Edit NNP"
    Step 2 : Select a NNP game to edit.
    Step 3 : Add or Remove players.
    Step 4 : Update NNP name or date.
    Step 5 : Select a round from round list.
    Step 6 : When done click Save.

  • iii. Remove a New New Peoiia game.
  • Step 1 : Select a round to remove .
    Step 2 : Click "Delete this NNP" tab.
    Step 3 : A pop-up window shows "Are you sure? This NNP will be permanently deleted". Click "Delete NNP" to confirm delete. / Click "Cancel" keep unchange.

K. Survey

a. Create a survey

Step 1 : Fill in main survey content which includes event name, course and restaurant. select the event date and time.
Step 2 : Write extra message.
Step 3 : Tick selected items to display at survey form.
Step 4 : When done click Submit. The survey form will publish to players who are members.

b. Edit a survey

Step 1 : Click Edit tab.
Step 2 : Select a survey name.
Step 3 : Modify survey form content.
Step 4 : When done click Update.

c. Remove a survey

Step 1 : Click Edit tab.
Step 2 : Select a survey name.
Step 3 : Click Remove tab.

d. View survey report

Step 1 : Click Report tab.
Step 2 : Select a survey name to show report.

L. Events

a. Create an Event

Team Calendar will be publish by the respective team account manager, as long as you are a member of the team, you can view the information on your personal page, so you have to join the team before team calendar displays any content, Content will not be displayed to non-members of the team.

Step 1 : Click Create Event Calendar tab.
Step 2 : Fill in event date, event title and event description.
Step 3 : When done click Create. The event will publish to team event calendar.

note: A. Survey summary. B. Replied members. C. Open member replied detail.

b. Edit an Event

Step 1 : Click Edit tab at the right side of event description.
Step 2 : Modify event content which include event date, event title and event description.
Step 3 : When done click Update.

c. Remove an Event

Step 1 : Click Remove tab at the right side of event description.
Step 2 : A pop-up windows shows "Are You Sure Want To Delete this item?" , Click "OK" to remove this event. Click "Cancel" keep unchange.

When the golf team administrators makes any content editing or settings on the backend, it will be displayed publicly on the frontend page.

C. Group Calendar

Team Calendar will be publish by the respective team account manager, as long as you are a member of the team, you can view the information on your personal page, so you have to join the team before team calendar displays any content, Content will not be displayed to non-members of the team.

Step 1 : Click group calendar icon .
Step 2 : Browse group events in calendar.
Step 3 : Click event topic in calendar to read event detail .

D. Financial Report

Financial report is a simple yearly cash flow statement. It contains four part of content : Cash in hand in the beginning, Cash receipts, Cash paid out and memo

Step 1 : Simply select a financial year at the upper right corner to display report .

E. Team Profile

When the team administrator completes their team profile editing on the backend, it will be displayed in the team profile page on the frontend.

G. Group Scores

a. Scorecard

Step 1 : Click scorecard tab.
Step 2 : Select a year.
Step 3 : Select a round in round list. When done, Group scorecard will showing automatically

b. Handicap

Step 1 : Click handicap tab.
Step 2 : Select a year. When done, Group handicap values will showing automatically.

c. Points

Step 1 : Click points tab.
Step 2 : Select a year. When done, The value player won will showing automatically.
note : Click arrow tab display ranking for this item.
Points formula : Champion won point = Attendance at the game - 1 ; 2nd place won point = Attendance at the game - 2 ; 3rd place won point = Attendance at the game - 3 ; ....etc. The last 1/3 group won point = (Attendance at the game)/3 . An absentee won point = 0 .

d. Gross

Step 1 : Click gross tab.
Step 2 : Select a year. When done, The player gross values will showing automatically.

e. Net Score

Step 1 : Click net score tab.
Step 2 : Select a year. When done, The player net score values will showing automatically.

Net Score formula : Net Score value = Gross value - Handicap value

H. Clubhouse

Team clubhouse in frontend is a page showing and connecting team members. Click player avatar link to player personal site, Click + tab at right side of player block will send add friend invitation to this player, and temporarily display on pending request in backend clubhouse. Waiting for player approval.

I. Competition

Here you can hold competitions of any size, just join as friends, complete rounds, and become a player of the competition, the backend process will automatically count and rank the players and display in frontend.

How to hold a competition, please have a look over Backend/Competition section.

Ranking items include: Gross score, Net Score, Farthest driving distance, Driving Accuracy, Green in Regulation, Putts, Sand Saves, Scrambling, Up and Downs, Penalty, Eagle, Birdie, Par, Bogey, Double Bogey, 3+ Bogey, Par 3 Score on par performance, Par 4 Score on par performance, Par 5 Score on par performance.

J. Leader Board

The major items for ranking players in the team or community. Includes Handicap, Scoring Average, Putts Average, Driving Accuracy Percentage, Green In Regulation Percentage, Scrambling Percentage, Sand Save %, Up and Down %, Driving Distance.

Team can use the ranking filter, by entering the team name or registered name, to show the players ranking in the team.

K. Tools

  • a.New New Peoria: When you finish the New New Peoria game setting on the backend, contents of the game will be displayed on the frontend.

L. Courses

Includes course map, Course Basic Information, 3D course map, Scorecard, Best round played, Course review and rating, Who Played Here.

To edit the posted course review and rating, under Backend/Messages , click course review and rating to update or delete.

M. Live Board

Live board provides instant updates, real-time updates of all online players striking status of each hole. using team in a live filter instantly updates the scorecard results of all the players of the team, immediate grasp the striking status of other players. Similarly, using course in a live filter instantly updates the striking performance status of all the players currently in the course.
